Join Tribune reporters and staff on Wednesday, Nov. 9, in Austin or online for a special live edition of TribCast, The Texas Tribune’s weekly podcast. Fresh off of Election Day, we’ll discuss the results of the midterm elections and what they mean for Texas.

Event Details

On Election Day, Texas voters will have their say on several statewide races, including governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. They’ll also weigh in on who should represent them in Congress and the state Legislature.

Join us at 1 p.m. Central on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Tribune’s Studio 919 in Austin or online for a LIVE post-election edition of TribCast, the Tribune’s weekly podcast.

Tribune managing editor Matthew Watkins will host the podcast, joined by politics reporter James Barragán, demographics reporter Alexa Ura and Tribune CEO Evan Smith.

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Studio 919 is located at 919 Congress Ave., Sixth Floor, Austin.

Ura is the demographics reporter for the Tribune, where she covers the intersection between politics and race, with an emphasis on the state’s surging Hispanic population. She also covers voting rights issues for the publication, where she started as a reporting fellow.

Garcia-Rios is an assistant professor of government and Latino studies at Cornell University. His research focuses on voter turnout, political participation and public opinion, especially among Latino immigrants.
